Limited edition 24oz 100% recycled water bottle, BPA-free.
Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet – but also one of the most dangerous. The park is also home to 1/3 of the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas, and the park’s heroic park rangers put conservation above all in their work. Sadly, more than 175 Rangers have been killed in the last decade in the line of duty. Without the commitment of these brave men and women, Virunga would not exist. They see it as their duty to protect the park for the world. Read more about ranger training and their critical conservation efforts here: www.virunga.org.
Unfortunately, following a security incident in May 2018, the park has been closed to tourists with safety in mind. However, this means many in the local community are out of a job and park revenues have dropped. 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of this water bottle support the Park.
