Handmade with durable cream fabric, each of these Darzah aprons is hand-embroidered by refugee and low-income women artisans in the West Bank – where 2015 unemployment rates for women were as high as 63%! The pocket is adorned with a traditional Palestinian tatreez design, the “diamond” motif, often passed down through generations of families. They are crafted with locally sourced fabric from Nablus. “Almas” means diamond in Arabic.
